HEALTH CARE LAW EXPERIENCE:
Over the past thirty-five years has represented a variety of healthcare entities, including professional associations, a hospital, medical device manufacturers, a major drug wholesaler and several providers. For over a decade has represented physicians and dentists in general corporate law, labor and employment matters, purchasing practices and real estate transactions. Has also advised a hospital in peer review committee proceedings and represented various health care entities in a wide range of litigation matters., including successfully defending two dental associations in an antitrust lawsuit challenging an insurer’s usual, customary and reasonable payment policies.
HEALTH CARE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE:
As an arbitrator, mediator, settlement conference officer or temporary judge, has presided over dozens of health care matters involving medical and pharmaceutical malpractice actions, payor-provider and provider-patient disputes, insurance matters and employment discrimination cases. Has been associated with the American Arbitration Association for over twenty-five years and serves on a number of other panels, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys, and the federal and state courts.
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION TRAINING:
Over 600 hours of alternative dispute resolution training programs.
